Adobe reported third-quarter earnings after the U.S. stock market closed Thursday, with revenue of $2.29 billion, up 24% year-on-year, a record $666 million, or $1.34 a share. Non-GAAP (non GAAP) earnings per share were US $1.73.
Prior to this, Wall Street expects the company's earnings per share to be $1.69 per quarter, and its revenue is $2 billion 250 million.
Adobe's digital media division, which includes Creative Cloud, has revenue of $1.61 billion and annual recurrent revenue of $6.4 billion. Separately, Creative Cloud's revenue was $1 billion 360 million, and Document Cloud's revenue was $249 million.
Adobe said its revenue from Experience Cloud was $614 million, up 21% from the same period last year, while Digital Experience's revenue was $614 million.
"We are very excited about the opportunities for the fourth quarter." Shantanu Narayen, CEO of the company, said, "We expect to see a strong closure of Adobe in fiscal year 2018, and we believe that growth and growth will be sustained through the right strategy, products, people, customers and partners."
Analysts expect earnings per share to be at least $1.86 in the fourth quarter, with revenue of $2.41 billion. Adobe's official guidelines expect earnings per share to be $1.87 in the fourth quarter and $2 billion 420 million in revenue.
