According to the latest data, Tesla has registered 17,863 Model 3 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) in the past seven days and 13,000 in the past weekend alone. This seems to mean that the capacity of Model 3 is further improving.
Twitter news from Tesla's official account, Model3VINs, showed an increase in the number of dual-engine versions of Model3 in the latest batches of registration.
Tesla, for example, registered 6425 Model 3 identifiers last Sunday, all of which are dual-engine versions. By contrast, about 85% of the 4,609 Model 3 vehicle identification codes registered earlier this month in Tesla were dual-engine versions.
With the addition of the hardest new batch, Tesla has registered a total of 135,771 vehicle identification codes for Model 3 since mass production in July 2017.
Analysts say Tesla's registration of a large number of dual-engine Model 3 vehicle identification codes is likely to mean its capacity is improving.
George Galliers, an analyst at Evercore ISI, an American investment firm, said in August that weekly production of Tesla Model 3 electric vehicles is steadily moving towards 6,000 vehicles and is expected to reach 8,000 a week.
Late last month it was reported that Tesla was preparing for Model 3 to enter the European market after successfully dominating the North American market. To this end, Tesla has begun to produce a small number of European version of Model 3. (Li Ming)
